“Hoosier: (noun); a native or inhabitant of Indiana.”
I’m proud to be a Hoosier! I’m from Greenwood, Indiana, 20 minutes south of Downtown Indianapolis, currently living in Coastal North Carolina. Where I’ve quickly grown to love the sunny beach weather (who wouldn’t?), I find myself missing home far too often. Yes, you heard it, I do miss Indiana. At the moment, I’m back in Indy for a few weeks, visiting family and enjoying this beautiful summer! So far, that’s included lots of sunshine, greenery, and fun evenings with my sister and the dogs on the back porch watching the Indiana sun set behind the treeline. Couldn’t ask for much more than that!
Today, I’m teaming up on this post with Hoosier Proud. Hoosier Proud is a company started by a Hoosier just like me. Indiana is a place of many wonders: country & city, farms & skyscrapers, fireworks & homemade ice cream, 4-H shows & the famous ‘500’. Indiana is everything, in one small state, shaped like a McDonald’s chicken nugget, LOL.
Hoosier Proud set out to awaken a love for Indiana in the hearts of our very own. From bumper stickers, to baseball caps, to super soft t-shirts, Hoosier Proud has just about any kind of Indiana merchandise a Hoosier could need. You can read more about Hoosier Proud, here.
Just another reason why I love Hoosier Proud – every t-shirt you buy, Hoosier Proud sends 10% of the revenue directly to a cause that the shirt is tied to. Just a few of the causes donated to are Habitat For Humanity of Greater Indianapolis, The Julian Center, and the Indiana Historical Society.
Each shirt at Hoosier Proud is hand-printed in Indianapolis. You can find all their t-shirts here, or shop my exact shirt below. These shirts are SO soft, fit true to size, and have the coolest designs. I was so excited to have the opportunity to work with such a great company from back home. Hoosier Proud is a new favorite!
